Will Ospreay To End UK Indy Commitments In 2024

He won't wrestle for UK indies after signing with AEW.

Will Ospreay will no longer wrestle on the UK independent scene, after signing a full-time deal with All Elite Wrestling.

The Aerial Assassin defeated Gabriel Kidd at RevPro Uprising on December 16, after which he took to the microphone to address his future.

Ospreay announced that RevPro's February 18 event will be his last for the company before he focuses his full attention towards AEW. The 30-year-old challenged Michael Oku to defend his Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship against him on the February 18 show.

The two previously collied at RevPro's High Stakes event on January 29, 2022. On that night, Ospreay successfully retained the RevPro Undisputed Heavyweight Championship in a critically-acclaimed match that was awarded five stars by The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer.

Before his last-ever RevPro match, the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion will wrestle for TNA. It was recently announced that he will take on Josh Alexander at the Snake Eyes taping on January 15.

Perhaps promoters on the UK indie scene could instead reach out to West Ham United defender Vladimir Coufal, who seems to have mastered Ospreay's signature Hidden Blade elbow.
