In a major surprise, William Regal made his All Elite Wrestling debut at Sunday's Revolution pay-per-view and the former NXT General Manager made his way to the ring following Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley's match and scolded both men before he ordered them to shake hands so they could "sort this place out."

Alongside his new on-screen role with Moxley and Danielson, Regal will work behind the scenes too, Tony Khan revealed during the AEW Revolution media scrum.

"I think he can contribute on-screen in a major way to both Bryan Danielson, and also he has a history with Jon Moxley. And also behind the scenes, I'm really excited to have him here. I think Lord Regal can teach all of us, everyone here, a lot," Khan said.

Regal had spent the last 22 years in WWE but he was released by the company in January of 2022. Speaking further, Khan admitted he was surprised the 53-year-old became available.

"It came together very recently and I think it fits very well with everything we're doing here in AEW all-around. I was very surprised to see that he had been released and was going to be available. I have tons of respect for his mind, and I think he's going to be a very valuable person here in AEW," Khan added.
