Women's Tag Team Championship Match Set For WWE Payback 2020

Only two weeks away...

Back in July, reports noted that WWE was planning to hold a WWE Network special on August 30. While the company initially considered reviving the all-women's special Evolution, WrestleVotes revealed WWE had decided to bring back Payback as a pay-per-view instead.

The wrestling behemoth officially announced the show on last week's episode of Friday Night SmackDown and the pay-per-view will indeed take place on August 30 at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. The first match was also added to the card as Sasha Banks revealed she and Bayley will be defending the Women's Tag Team Championships. This will be The Golden Role Model's first title defence since they defeated The Kabuki Warriors on the July 13 edition of Monday Night Raw.

If Bayley and Banks can make it to Payback with all of their titles remains to be seen, however. Both The Role Model and The Blueprint will defend their SmackDown and Raw Women's Titles in singles matches against Asuka and The Empress Of Tomorrow will be out for revenge.
