"WrestleMania" Edition Of SmackDown Announced For April 9

With a battle royal and a Tag Team title match

The April 9 edition of WWE SmackDown will be a special "WrestleMania edition" of the broadcast, complete with two unique matches, and interviews with the Universal title match participants, as announced by Adam Pearce via WWE's Twitter.

The seventh Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal has been announced for the show, and it will feature 22 participants.

The battle royal participants include: Akira Tozawa, Angel Garza, Cedric Alexander, Drew Gulak, Elias, Erik, Gran Metalik, Humberto Carrillo, Jaxson Ryker, Jey Uso, Kalisto, King Corbin, Lince Dorado, Mace, Murphy, Mustafa Ali, Ricochet, Shelton Benjamin, Shinsuke Nakamura, Slapjack, T-Bar, and Tucker.

Previous match winners include Cesaro, Big Show, King Corbin, Mojo Rawley, Matt Hardy, and Braun Strowman. There was no battle royal at WrestleMania 36 last year.

Also announced for the special edition of SmackDown will be a fatal four way for the SmackDown Tag Team titles. Champions Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode will defend the titles against Rey and Dominik Mysterio, Chad Gable and Otis, and The Street Profits.

Also announced for SmackDown are interviews with Universal champion Roman Reigns, as well as his WrestleMania opponents, Edge and Daniel Bryan.
