WWE 2K23 Gameplay "More Balanced In A Realistic Way" Than WWE 2K22

Better gameplay said to be on the way in WWE 2K23

Following the positive reception to WWE 2K22 and that title's significant improvements in gameplay over the much-maligned WWE 2K20, the next instalment in the WWE 2K video game franchise will be one of refinement.

Alongside a Showcase mode that will star John Cena and the introduction of WarGames, WWE 2K23 will feature "core gameplay changes", Visual Concepts' Creative Director for WWE 2K Lynel Jinks told Polygon. Along with a new optional pin minigame, wrestlers' stamina will be changed once again in response to community feedback.

Jinks also noted that gameplay will come with greater balance in WWE 2K23, saying: "It's hard for me to even go back to play 2K22 without the stuff that we added this year. It's more balanced, in a realistic way, not a slow way."

WWE 2K23 is set to be released on Friday, March 17 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Windows PC. Fans can gain early access from Tuesday, March 14 by purchasing the Deluxe or Icon edition.
