WWE Announces Latest International Event

WWE leaving the United States again later this year

WWE are heading overseas for another show later this year.

The company announced today they will return to India for WWE Superstar Spectacle on Friday, September 8. The show will take place at the GMC Balayogi Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad, India. Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics noted the venue holds between 4,000 and 5,000 fans.  

Superstar Spectacle will be WWE's first show in India since 2017. Tickets for the show will be available from 12 pm IST on Friday, August 4.

Talents advertised for the event include Seth Rollins, Rhea Ripley, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, GUNTHER, Jinder Mahal, Veer, Sanga, Drew McIntyre, Becky Lynch, Natalya, Matt Riddle, and Ludwig Kaiser. 

WWE held the first Superstar Spectacle on January 26, 2021 as an India special. The event was taped at the WWE ThunderDome and featured several Indian talents, including Jeet Rama, Guru Raaj, Sareena Sandhu, and Shanky. Many of the company's Indian talents have since been released.

WWE have held several major shows overseas in 2023, including Money in the Bank in London, England and Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia.
