WWE Announces NXT In Your House, First Title Match Set

A date has yet to be announced for the show

On last night's episode of NXT it was announced that a championship match will take place at the next NXT In Your House event.

In it, NXT North American Champion Cameron Grimes will defend his title against Carmelo Hayes.

Grimes announced the match on last night's episode of NXT, during an in-ring promo segment with Solo Sikoa. After Sikoa declared himself the next contender, Grimes agreed to defend the title against him, providing he got by Hayes first.

Hayes and Trick Williams then attacked Grimes, but Sikoa made the save (leading to a tag team match to be booked for next week's episode).

Grimes, who won the title at NXT Stand & Deliver over WrestleMania weekend, successfully defended the title against Hayes and Sikoa in a triple-threat match on last week's NXT Spring Breakin' show.

No date has yet been formally announced for this year's NXT In Your House. The 2021 version of the event took place on June 13 and was broadcast via the WWE Network and Peacock.
