Drew McIntyre made his return to WWE TV on Monday's edition of Raw, attacking Sami Zayn following Zayn's main event loss to Seth Rollins.

McIntyre then said backstage after Raw: "If you don't hear it from me live on WWE TV or on my social channels, assume every single thing you hear about Drew McIntyre is BS. Oh, and how soon you all forget."

McIntyre had been off WWE TV since his loss to CM Punk inside Hell in a Cell at October's Bad Blood pay-per-view, a match which left the former World Heavyweight Champion needing 16 staples in his head.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that Drew McIntyre was not expected to return as soon as the December 2 episode of Monday Night Raw. The belief is WWE brought up McIntyre's return by a few weeks due to Bronson Reed's injury at Survivor Series.

Reed suffered an ankle injury during the men's WarGames Match at Survivor Series following a Tsunami. The exact nature of Reed's injury has yet to be revealed but it is feared he has broken one of, if not both, of his ankles.
