WWE Confirm Date, Time & Location For Crown Jewel 2021
Headlined by Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar
Oct 1, 2021
WWE have announced the time, date and location for Crown Jewel 2021 in Saudi Arabia.
Reports had previously indicated that WWE would present their latest major event in Saudi Arabia on Thursday 21 October and the promotion have confirmed this to be the case, with the show emanating from the Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh.
A press release issued by WWE read: "The Saudi General Entertainment Authority in partnership with WWE (NYSE: WWE) today announced that WWE Crown Jewel will take place at the Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Thursday, October 21 at 7.00pm AST."
Crown Jewel 2021 will air at 5pm BST and 12pm ET.
The only match confirmed for the card so far is a majorly anticipated Universal Championship clash between reigning champion Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. Reports indicate that the pay-per-view will also present the third and deciding match between Edge and Seth Rollins, as well as a rematch between Bobby Lashley and Goldberg.
The COVID-19 Pandemic and subsequent halting of touring for WWE meant the promotion has not been able to host a show in Saudi Arabia since presenting WWE Super ShowDown in February 2020.
WWE has been presenting events in Saudi Arabia since 2014 and, in 2018, announced a 10-year strategic multi-platform partnership between the promotion and the Saudi General Sports Authority, which sees the company host two pay-per-views a year in the country.
