LA Knight was a focal point of the December 8 edition of Monday Night Raw as he rekindled his issues with The Vision, ultimately losing to Logan Paul in the main event of the show before he was beaten down by the faction in the closing moments of Raw. The episode went off the air after Bronson Reed delivered a Tsunami to Knight on top of a car.
LA Knight's booking on December 8 quickly fuelled outrage on social media, with a number of WWE fans accusing the company of burying the former United States Champion with the beatdown by The Vision. People within WWE were confused by the outrage over Knight's booking on the show, Fightful Select has reported, and WWE noted it was simply a "standard story beat that will be revisited."
One conspiracy theory online suggested Knight was being punished over holding up a 'We want LA Knight, not Jey Uso' sign. People within WWE have claimed that isn't the case, with one source in WWE creative noting Knight being booked to defeat Jey Uso in the Last Time is Now tournament would be a "weird punishment."
LA Knight also won't be leaving WWE any time in the near future as he re-signed with the company in 2024 and has years left on his contract.
