WWE Considered Reviving The League Of Nations With Mojo Rawley, Shinsuke Nakamura & Cesaro

The League Of Nations almost returned

Mojo Rawley has revealed WWE planned to revive The League Of Nations.

Rawley teamed with Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro against Shorty G and The New Day on the June 5, 2020, edition of Friday Night SmackDown and Mojo told Chris Hero on Shoot Conversations that WWE had plans to keep the trio together as a new League Of Nations.

"My most recent 'Mania, I'm doing the heel thing and I tagged with Cesaro and [Shinsuke Nakamura]. They liked that. They were talking about that being a new League of Nations and I was going to be the mouthpiece of it. Who knows how much that was going to be a thing," Rawley said.

"I'm doing my heel work, then the 24/7 stuff was around there, then I moved SmackDown and I was immediately hyped up babyface to bring in Rob and we had big plans that didn't materialise because of the pandemic he went back to football. They put me right back to being a heel immediately and I was flip-flopping every week."

The League Of Nations was the faction of Sheamus, Wade Barrett, Alberto Del Rio and Rusev (AEW's Miro). The group was short-lived, though, and they were only together for six months from November 2015 until April 2016. There was also animosity amongst the group's members as they were only put into a faction to help get Roman Reigns "going" during the build to WrestleMania 32.
