WWE Discussing Santos Escobar's Return After 'Falling Through The Cracks'

Santos Escobar has been absent from WWE programming for quite some time, last competing in July at a house show in Mexico. It was revealed in October that Escobar’s WWE deal had expired, with those in WWE expecting him to sign with AEW. However, it soon emerged that WWE had worked out a new deal to re-sign Escobar in what was reported to be a “big money” contract. However, Escobar has yet to resurface on WWE programming. 

It was revealed at some time in late October that Escobar was backstage at an episode of Monday Night RAW, but since then things have been pretty silent on when and where Escobar will make his return. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the reason why Escobar has yet to return to WWE is a case of the company simply… making an error?

It is reported that Escobar’s return “fell through the cracks” in recent months, falling to the wayside. However, it is noted that WWE is now back in talks and discussions over how to book Escobar and get the return “back on track”.
