WWE Drawing Highest Average Attendances Since The Invasion

WWE averaging their highest attendances for decades in 2023

WWE as a company is certainly a hot property right now as the organisation continues to set attendance records when returning to past markets across the United States and Canada. WWE are also more profitable than ever and the organisation's TV product is hot, featuring top stars like Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, LA Knight, and now CM Punk.

WWE being such a hot product is reflected in attendances and Wrestlenomics has estimated that WWE's average attendance for 2023 so far is 9,100 fans per event. The second quarter of 2023 looks set to be WWE's peak for the year as the company averaged 10,500 fans per event. That quarter did feature WrestleMania 39, WWE's biggest show of the year.

The average attendance of 9,100 fans is WWE's best year for decades and is the highest average attendance since 2001's 10,600 fans per event. That year was the dying days of the Attitude Era before the Invasion angle featuring former WCW and ECW talents dominated WWE TV for much of the year.

WWE's highest average attendance remains 1999, with shows averaging 12,300 fans.

Compared to 2013, though, WWE is up 35.8 percent from 6,700 fans per event.
