One of the many boons of the post-Vince McMahon era of WWE is how the company has leaned more into its international markets, hosting several PLEs in international territories in front of raucous fans.

WWE are set to run a series of Raw and SmackDown tapings across mainland Europe in the run-up to WrestleMania XLI in early 2025, and during an interview on the Sports Business Journal Sports Media podcast, WWE Executive VP of Talent Relations and Head of Communications Chris Legentil spoke more of the company’s plans to run more international shows in 2025:

“This year alone, we did more than half our (premium live events) outside the U.S. Look for more of that when we’re in partnership with Netflix because we’re going to be working with them hand-in-hand to select locations across the world where we can grow our audience and hopefully gain some subscribers for them,” said Legentil.

WWE held 12 PLE shows in 2024, with six shows held outside of North America, with Saudi Arabia running two events, whilst the UK, France, Australia, and Germany had one PLE each.
