WWE fans staged a mini revolt against the company's decision making on the June 2 edition of Monday Night Raw from Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Before Raw even went on the air, fans inside the BOK Center filled the arena with "We want Truth" chants. Those chants continued into the opening segment of Raw between CM Punk and Sami Zayn, and resurfaced during the Money in the Bank qualifier of Stephanie Vaquer vs. Ivy Nile vs. Liv Morgan.
"We want Truth" chants re-emerged intermittently throughout Raw, being heard again during The Judgment Day vs. War Raiders tag team match and even during the main event of Raw between CM Punk, AJ Styles, and El Grande Americano.
Elsewhere at the Raw taping, fans showed their support for R-Truth through signs as one fan brought a 'Re-sign R-Truth or we riot' sign, while another had a 'We want Truth' sign. The campaign for WWE to bring back R-Truth also trended on X/Twitter through #WeWantTruth.
R-Truth announced on Sunday, June 1 that he was being released by WWE, with it later emerging that WWE had decided not to renew his contract. The backstage reaction to WWE's exit was overwhelmingly negative and was reportedly the most negative reaction to a WWE departure in almost 10 years.
Ron Killings may not be out of pro wrestling for long, however, as TNA Head of Talent Relations Tommy Dreamer has already expressed interest in the former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion.
Killings wasn't the only upcoming WWE departure as Carlito and Sarah Logan have also been told their contracts were not being renewed.
