A mandatory talent meeting was held ahead of the September 2 edition of Monday Night Raw, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.

The main item of discussion was that talents were reminded to be "mindful of not cursing while they are on camera." There was no directive about what words talent should avoid using but the wrestlers were simply reminded to stay in the company lane as WWE are still producing PG programming.

Swearing on WWE TV has been a point of contention in 2024. A memo was distributed in early 2024 by WWE President Nick Khan, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H, and then-Executive Vice President of Talent Dan Ventrelle that told talent not to curse, not even on social media. The Rock and other top stars, however, were able to swear as much as they pleased on WWE TV and this led to frustration amongst the WWE roster over the perceived "double standard."

Cursing is not expected to be as much of an issue upon WWE Raw's move to Netflix in the new year, with WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H noting they won't have issues with the crowd chanting "holy sh*t" like they currently do on Fox or USA.
