WWE are reportedly eyeing up a former NWO member for a Legends deal, per reports.
Already under the WWE umbrella as part of his work with AAA, Konnan is reportedly being lined up for a Legends deal, with WrestleVotes Radio saying the following about the rumoured deal:
“WWE is said to have strong interest in signing Konnan to a Legends deal separate from his ongoing involvement with AAA. We are told there is genuine interest from the marketing side, particularly around producing Konnan merchandise, including shirts, action figures, and other collectables.”
A member of the New World Order in WCW, K-Dawg would go on to become one of the most popular stars in the company as part of his run with the red & black NWO Wolfpac, and is a one-time WCW TV Champion, US Champion, and two-time WCW World Tag Team Champion with Filthy Animals teammates Rey Mysterio Jr. and Billy Kidman.
Outside of WCW, Konnan has been referred to as ‘Mexico’s Hulk Hogan’ in terms of his popularity in the early 1990s, with Dave Meltzer stating Konnan was the top box office draw of the '90s for his work in CMLL and AAA.
