WWE King Of The Ring, Queen's Crown Tournament Updates Following 10/15 SmackDown

Two finalists are set

The SmackDown half of the final rounds of the King of the Ring and Queen's Crown tournaments have been finalized, following a pair of semifinal bouts on Friday's WWE SmackDown in Ontario, CA.

Finn Balor has advanced to the King of the Ring finals, after defeating Sami Zayn in an 11-minute semifinal match. Balor missed one attempt at the Coup de Grace, and kicked out of Zayn's ensuing roll-up attempt. After that, Balor put Zayn down with two shotgun dropkicks, before finally finishing him off with the Coup de Grace.

Balor advances to the final match at Crown Jewel, where he'll meet the winner of the Xavier Woods vs. Jinder Mahal match taking place on Monday's Raw.

In the Queen's Crown semifinal, Zelina Vega defeated Carmella in a match that lasted a little over two and a half minutes. Prior to the bout, both heels had an agreement not to strike each other in the face.

Carmella (who wrestled without her protective mask) ended up kicking Vega in the face, prompting Vega to flip out on her. When Carmella went to put her mask on, Liv Morgan appeared, holding the mask. Morgan chased Carmella back into the ring, where she was pinned by Vega via inside cradle.

For the finals at Crown Jewel, Vega will face the winner of the Doudrop vs. Shayna Baszler match taking place Monday.
