WWE NXT's Odyssey Jones Undergoes Surgery

He will be out of action until later this year

WWE NXT 2.0 star Odyssey Jones looks set for a long spell on the sidelines, after it was confirmed that he has undergone surgery for an injury suffered several weeks back.

On Tuesday's edition of NXT, it was mentioned that Jones had successfully gone under the knife to repair an injured patella tendon, with commentator Vic Joseph noting that he should be able to return to action in the fall.

Jones was injured two weeks ago while wrestling Saurav in a match that was being taped for 205 Live. The bout was stopped due to the injury and didn't end up airing as scheduled.

On last week's episode of NXT, Jones was shown on crutches and sporting a knee brace. There was an angle on the show where he was attacked backstage by Harland after getting into a confrontation with Harland and Joe Gacy.

A former college football player at Syracuse University, Jones was signed to a WWE contract in early 2019. He made his televised in-ring debut on the July 9, 2021 episode of 205 Live (beating Grayson Waller).

Jones made it to the finals of last year's NXT Breakout Tournament, losing to Carmelo Hayes.
