WWE NXT Spoilers For August 27 Episode

Due to the upcoming WWE Bash in Berlin pay-per-view on August 31, WWE opted to tape next week's edition of NXT from the WWE Performance Center on Tuesday, August 20 following that night's live episode. 

FULL SPOILERS AHEAD

WWE NXT opened up with a tag team match featuring the newly-named Fatal Influence against Meta Four. The match saw Fallon Henley and Jacy Jayne take on Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson and Henley ended up with a bloody nose following a dive from Jakara Jackson. The match continued after Henley cleaned her nose with a towel and Fatal Influence scored the win following interference from their stablemate Jazmyn Nyx. 

Karmen Petrovic picked up the win in the second match of the night, defeating Izzi Dame with a roll-up, while The Family won a mixed six-person tag team match against No Quarter Catch Crew in the third contest of the taping. Tony D'Angelo, who was at ringside, ended up leaving during the match after he was approached by two mafia men. 

A promo segment between Wes Lee and Zachary Wentz also took place ahead of their No Mercy match and the TNA presence at the taping continued as TNA's Rosemary made her NXT debut upon the invitation of Wendy Choo to take on NXT Women's North American Champion Kelani Jordan. Rosemary was ultimately on the losing side but she ended up standing tall post-match after Wendy Choo took Kelani Jordan out with a Sleeper. 

The final two matches of the taping saw Brooks Jensen defeat Malik Blade, while Joe Coffey picked up a win over Je'Von Evans following interference from Mark Coffey and Wolfgang. 

The last segment of the night was another concert from Joe Hendry as he poked fun at NXT Champion Ethan Page ahead of their title match at No Mercy. Page eventually interrupted and they had a back-and-forth before NXT General Manager Ava headed into the arena and announced the NXT Title match at No Mercy would have a special guest referee, who would be none other than Trick Williams. Hendry then ended the taping standing tall, following a Standing Ovation to Page and Hendry posted with the NXT Title as Trick Williams celebrated with him.
