WWE NXT Stand & Deliver 2024 full results

The second major pro wrestling event of Saturday, April 6 emanated from Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center as WWE NXT presented Stand & Deliver as a matinee event ahead of night one of WrestleMania 40.

The main event saw former friends go one-on-one as Trick Williams faced Carmelo Hayes. NXT General Manager Ava told the referee to be more lenient for the match and this came into play as the two competitors brawled through the crowd in the opening minutes. Carmelo Hayes soon took control, however, and he dominated much of the match before a ref bump left Trick Williams with an opening. The former NXT North American Champion proceeded to take it as he blasted Hayes with steel chair shots. The official managed to recover, pulling the steel chair away which allowed Carmelo Hayes to hit a Low Blow. Melo tried to follow up with a Bicycle Knee but he only ended up taking out the poor referee for a second time.

With the official down, Hayes connected with Nothing But Net but he only picked up a two count by the time another official ran to the ring. Hayes next looked to win with steel chair shots but the new referee pulled the weapon away. Williams took advantage of the momentary distraction, connecting with his Flash Knee out of nowhere for the win.

In the semi-main event, Ilja Dragunov successfully defended the NXT Championship against Tony D'Angelo. Tony D had the opportunity to cheat during the contest but he refused Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo's offer of brass knuckles. Dragunov proceeded to dominate the match and he put Tony D through the announce table with a H-Bomb, only for D'Angelo to kick out at 2.9. D'Angelo fired back with a brief flurry of offence but the leader of The Family was soon flattened by Torpedo Moscow. An H-Bomb from the top rope later and Dragunov scored the successful title defence. The two men shook hands after the match.

In the only title change of the night, Roxanne Perez defeated Lyra Valkyria to win the NXT Women's Championship. As former World of STARDOM Champion Giulia watched on, Perez targeted Valkyria's injured arm and she repeatedly applied the Crossface after a Pop Rox failed to score the pinfall win. Valkyria escaped the Crossface on multiple occasions but a second Pop Rox was followed up by another Crossface. Valkyria came close to the bottom rope at one point but the former Rok-C rolled back into the middle of the ring with the submission still locked in and the champion had no choice but to tap out.

Elsewhere at Stand & Deliver, The Wolf Dogs of Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin retained their NXT Tag Team Titles against Nathan Frazer and Axiom, and the team of Thea Hail, Fallon Henley, and Kelani Jordan defeated Jacy Jayne, Kiana James, and Izzi Dame after Hail forced Dame to tap out.

Dijak also looked set to finally win the NXT North American Championship but he was twice denied, first by Josh Briggs who pulled the referee out of the ring following two Feast Your Eyes to Oba Femi. Dijak followed up with two more Feast Your Eyes, this time to Josh Briggs, but Oba Femi simply grabbed Dijak by the neck and Powerbombed him onto Briggs before the champion pinned Briggs to win the Triple Threat meat extravaganza.

On the pre-show, Joe Gacy defeated Shawn Spears, overcoming a pre-match attack with a steel chair from Ridge Holland in the process.
