WWE NXT Star Returns To Action At House Show

On Saturday night...

This past Saturday night, NXT ran a live event in Cocoa, FL, which saw the return of one ascending talent that had been out of action for around three months.

In the second match of Saturday's card, Dominik Dijakovic made his in-ring return, defeating Cezar Bononi. Dijakovic won the bout with his Feast Your Eyes finisher, a torture rack turnover into a knee lift.

Dijakovic had been sidelined since the middle of April, after tearing his meniscus. He underwent surgery the following month, and was expected to miss roughly three months.

Dijakovic's last opponent before his injury layoff was North American champion Velveteen Dream, losing to Dream at a live event in Jacksonville on April 19. At the time, the two were being teased for a possible feud, as well as a rumored match for the June 8 TakeOver in Bridgeport, CT.

The towering former ROH Top Prospect Tournament winner (as Donovan Dijak) signed with WWE in the summer of 2017. He made his NXT debut under the Dijakovic name in late 2018
