A new WWE talent may not be happy with their name change.

Brogan Finlay, the son of Fit Finlay and the brother of New Japan Pro-Wrestling's David Finlay, made his WWE TV debut on Tuesday's episode of NXT, suffering a swift loss to Shawn Spears at Roadblock. Finlay has been renamed Uriah Connors as part of his WWE gimmick and he will be using this name moving forward on WWE TV.

After tweeting about his debut, Connors hinted at some unhappiness over the name change as after a fan wrote, "I would've rather for you to keep the legendary Finlay name but good luck in your future," Connors replied: "Ur telling me lol, just trust."

This prompted a response from Fit Finlay, who wrote: "@WWE_URIAH the name may have changed, but, the blood is still the same!"

Brogan Finlay signed with WWE in 2023 following a tryout at the WWE Performance Center. He made his debut in January at an NXT house show in a loss to Charlie Dempsey. Before joining WWE, Finlay performed for the likes of New Japan and on the independent wrestling scene.
