WWE NXT Title Match Set For Halloween Havoc

Ilja Dragunov vs. Carmelo Hayes III is coming soon. 

The former NXT Champion earned the opportunity to regain the gold from Ilja Dragunov at Halloween Havoc on the October 17 edition of NXT following his win in a Triple Threat against Baron Corbin and Dijak. Hayes picked up the win after he caught Baron Corbin with Nothing But Net shortly after Corbin hit Dijak with the End of Days. Hayes then pinned Dijak for the win.

Trouble could be on the horizon for Hayes, though, as it was revealed earlier on Tuesday night that Trick Williams had been added to the number one contender's match to make it a four-way in one final decision by Cody Rhodes as the guest GM of NXT. This led to a confrontation between Hayes and his former ally but they soon resolved their issues. 

Williams did not enter the match, though, as he was taken out backstage ahead of the contest and taken to a local hospital. 

Hayes and Dragunov have faced off twice before for the NXT Championship, with Hayes first defeating Dragunov at the Great American Bash. Dragunov defeated Hayes in their second match at No Mercy to capture the NXT Title.
