WWE NXT UK TakeOver: Dublin Pushed Back To October 25

WWE fans in Ireland will have to wait a little longer...

Ahead of NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool, Triple H revealed that WWE had discussed taking NXT UK across Europe to countries like Germany, France, and Italy.

The UK brand ultimately decided to stay a little closer to home as the company announced NXT UK would head across the Irish Sea on April 26 for NXT UK TakeOver: Dublin at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland.

Since the announcement, the coronavirus pandemic has caused major disruption to WWE and its programming. NXT, Monday Night Raw, and Friday Night SmackDown will air in empty venues until the Raw after WrestleMania 36, and The Showcase Of The Immortals was also moved from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida and is currently being taped behind closed doors.

Now, following increased lockdown measures from Irish Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, 3Arena announced on Twitter that TakeOver: Dublin has been postponed and rescheduled to October 25.

3Arena tweeted: "NXT Takeover scheduled to take place at 3Arena on Saturday, 26 April has been postponed and will now take place on Sunday, 25 October. All tickets remain valid for the new date."
