On this week's episode of Monday Night Raw, Becky Lynch relinquished the Raw Women's Championship to Asuka and announced she was pregnant, Randy Orton challenged Edge to a normal singles match at Backlash, and The Viking Raiders proved they were better than The Street Profits at basketball.

WWE advertised Lynch's announcement and Edge and Orton's confrontation in advance which was enough for the ratings to bounce back as Raw averaged 1.919 million viewers. The episode also didn't experience a noticeable drop like usual as viewership only fell by 9.58 percent from 1.993 million to 1.802 million.

The improved ratings come after WWE's flagship show recorded the lowest viewership in its history last week. The May 4 edition only averaged 1.686 million and at its highest point, only 1.805 million viewers tuned in to watch.

Whether Raw's ratings continue to improve in the coming weeks remains to be seen. WWE will be without one of its biggest stars in Becky Lynch for at least a year which could drive some viewers away but if Vince McMahon is to be believed, ratings will continue to rise as more Raw Superstars get themselves over with the audience at home.
