WWE Raw Results - 3 January 2022

The first Monday Night Raw of 2022, much like WWE Day 1, was full of explosive surprises with major implications for both short-term and long-term stories as number one contenders were named, feuds were continued, and matches were set for this year's Royal Rumble event. 

The fall-out from Day 1 was huge and the excitement continued as new WWE Champion Brock Lesnar kicked-off Raw, realigning with his 'advocate' Paul Heyman, who took aim at Universal Champion Roman Reigns in an in-ring segment.

The first match of the night saw Raw Tag Team Champions Randy Orton & Riddle defeated by Chad Gable & Otis, before 24/7 Champion Dana Brooke & Reggie defeated the team of Akira Tozawa and Tamina.

An in-ring confrontation followed next as Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch came face-to-face with Liv Morgan and Bianca Belair. Following a scuffle, and then Doudrop complaining backstage, a Triple Threat bout to determine Lynch's new number one contender was set for next week's Raw.

Rhea Ripley and Nikki A.S.H failed to reclaim the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles from Carmella and Queen Zelina. The Street Profits and The Mysterios would then declare for the Royal Rumble, before the former duo defeated Apollo Crews and Commander Azeez.

Following Edge's victory over The Miz at WWE Day 1, the duo once again met in the ring and confirmed another 'Premium Live Event' bout. The two will team with their respective spouses, Beth Phoenix and Maryse, in a Mixed-Tag Team Match at The Royal Rumble 2022.

Omos and AJ Styles finally locked up and it was a squash victory for the Colossus over the Phenomenal One, which was followed by the huge main-event. Bobby Lashley would finally secure his one-on-one match with Brock Lesnar, defeating former WWE Champion Big E, Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens to earn a Title Match with The Beast in four weeks' time.
