WWE Raw Results - October 18, 2021

A Raw that existed

WWE headed to the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California for a Monday Night Raw of little consequence as the company put the finishing touches on the build to Crown Jewel.

The semi-finals of both the King Of The Ring Tournament and Queen's Crown Tournament took place during Raw. In the opening contest, Xavier Woods defeated Jinder Mahal with a Flying Elbow Drop to advance to the final. He will face Finn Balor in Saudi Arabia. Doudrop then picked up a victory over Shayna Baszler later in the episode. Baszler twice managed to apply the Kirifuda Clutch but Doudrop rolled through and pinned the former NXT Women's Champion's shoulders to the mat for the 1-2-3. Doudrop will face Zelina Vega in the final, also in Saudi Arabia.

A Raw Women's Championship match between Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair main evented the October 18 edition of WWE's flagship show. Both women had a very good 21-minute match but WWE once again relied on the often-used DQ finish as Flair decked Belair with a steel chair to save her title reign. The EST of WWE then grabbed the chair away from Flair after the official called for the bell and hit the Raw Women's Champion with the weapon to stand tall as Raw went off the air.

Goldberg and Bobby Lashley also sat down for a joint interview via video link ahead of their No Holds Barred Match at Crown Jewel and both men threatened each other with illegal violence throughout the segment, with Goldberg's final words being, "Safe travels. Kill you Thursday, Bobby."

In the final build to the WWE Title match, Drew McIntyre and Big E teamed together against The Dirty Dawgs. Unlike last week, Big E and Irn Drew managed to co-exist on October 18 and they vanquished Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode after 12 minutes. The WWE Champion and his challenger struggled to put their animosity aside following the match, though, and they shouted some trash talk at each other to end the segment.

In other happenings on Raw, Austin Theory picked up another win over Jeff Hardy. The Charismatic Enigma ended up standing tall, however, as he caught Theory with a Twist of Fate after the match and took a selfie. Mansoor also defeated Cedric Alexander before a verbal exchange with Mustafa Ali ahead of their match at Crown Jewel, Finn Balor pinned Mace, RK-Bro and The Street Profits had a good match that ended in a No-Contest following interference from AJ Styles and Omos, and John Morrison continued to meditate.
