WWE Raw Results - September 27, 2021

Title matches everywhere

Following the Extreme Rules pay-per-view, WWE headed to Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati, Ohio for the September 27 edition of Monday Night Raw.

Big E accepted Bobby Lashley's challenge at Extreme Rules and the WWE Championship match opened Raw. Both men fought back and forth in a big men slapping meat match and Big E took out Lashley after nine minutes with a Spear through the apron to the floor. When the WWE Champion moved to stand up, though, Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin were surrounding Big E and the distraction allowed Lashley to hit a Spinebuster and Spear once the action re-entered the squared circle.

Before the referee could count the 1-2-3, however, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods hit the ring and the match ended in a No Contest as The New Day and a reunited Hurt Business brawled around the squared circle. After the action settled down, Adam Pearce arrived on the scene and announced Big E and Lashley would go one on one again in the main event inside a Steel Cage.

In that match, Lashley and Big E went to war for 16 minutes. The Hurt Business made their presence felt halfway through as they prevented Big E from escaping the cage. The New Day returned the favour to Lashley moments later, though, and the factions brawled outside of the cage, allowing Lashley and Big E to continue the match without any distractions.

After some more back and forth action, Big E hoisted Lashley onto his shoulders and delivered a middle rope Big Ending for the pinfall victory. Big E's next challenger then revealed themselves as Drew McIntyre appeared on the ramp at the end of the show and pointed his big sword at the WWE Champion.

Bobby Lashley will also have to move on from Big E quickly as Goldberg appeared on the show via satellite and vowed to hurt and possibly kill The All Mighty.

Damian Priest defended the United States Championship against Sheamus in a NO DQ Match elsewhere on Raw in their latest battle. In a match that featured kendo sticks and other weapons, Damian Priest picked up the win after throwing Sheamus through a table and decking him with the Reckoning.

Charlotte Flair also put the Raw Women's Championship on the line in an open challenge that was answered by Doudrop. While the three other title matches on the show were given time, though, Flair and Doudrop only wrestled for 110 seconds before Eva Marie distracted Doudrop to give Charlotte the opening to deck her opponent with Natural Selection for the win.

Marie looked to gloat over Doudrop after the match, but she only ended up eating a Clothesline from Flair. Shayna Baszler then headed to the ring and punished Marie, stomping on her elbow while it was against the steel steps, similar to her attack on Nia Jax from last week.

Keith Lee also made his return to WWE on Raw with a new "Bearcat" nickname and The Limitless One vanquished Akira Tozawa after 35 seconds.

In other happenings on Raw, AJ Styles defeated Riddle in a match where The Phenomenal One used a Burning Hammer, Reggie and Ricochet fought to a No Contest over the 24/7 Title, Karrion Kross picked up a squash win over Jaxson Ryker, Angel Garza defeated Erik of The Viking Raiders following a distraction from Humberto Carrillo, and Jinder Mahal, Veer and Shanky overcame Jeff Hardy, Mustafa Ali and Mansoor.
