WWE Releases John Morrison, Tegan Nox, Hit Row, More

Eight more roster cuts on Thursday

Eight more WWE talents were released on Thursday, according to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.

According to Sapp, those released include John Morrison, the remaining members of Hit Row (Isaiah Scott, Ashante Adonis, and Top Dolla), Tegan Nox, Drake Maverick, Jaxson Ryker, and Shane Thorne.

Sapp has also reported that John Laurinaitis cited "budget cuts" in the e-mail notice of the releases.

The releases come on the heels of WWE letting go 18 talents earlier this month, including Keith Lee, Karrion Kross, Nia Jax, and others.

Morrison re-signed with WWE in the autumn of 2019, after eight years away. Wife Taya Valkyrie (Franky Monet) was released earlier this month.

Hit Row were drafted from NXT to the SmackDown brand last month. Member B-Fab was released among the November 4 cuts.

Nox was called up to the main roster in July, in a team with Shotzi Blackheart. She was moved to Raw in the October Draft, but never appeared on the brand.

Maverick was initially released in the April 2020 cuts, but was brought back the following month. He was recently part of the 24/7 title picture, briefly holding the belt on November 8.

Ryker almost exclusively wrestled on WWE Main Event since mid-summer. His last Raw match was a loss to Karrion Kross in September.

Former Retribution member Thorne had wrestled several SmackDown dark matches since the summer, but never returned to TV since the group dissolved.
