WWE Reportedly Contacted Joey Ryan About Move To NXT Performance Center

Joey came back from the dead at All In last Autumn...

Back in March, Joey Ryan was one of four Lucha Underground wrestlers to be granted their respective releases from the company after filing a lawsuit over their contracts.

Since then, the famous d*ck wrestler has been a free agent, with his role in the Being The Elite YouTube series seemingly hinting that a future in AEW is on the cards.

However, per the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it appears WWE put out feelers to Ryan about joining them as a wrestler before transitioning to a coaching role at the Performance Center.

It's claimed that Joey, who makes a very healthy living on the indys, isn't interested in taking a pay cut to join WWE.

For the avoidance of any doubt, here's what was penned in this week's WON: "(Joey) Ryan was not given an official offer as of earlier in the week but they (WWE) contacted him after getting word he was a free agent when the word was out that he was let out of his LU contract, and asked if he was willing to move to Orlando, wrestle a few years there and then move into a coaching position.

"The way it was explained to us, was that he would have absolutely taken the offer if he was 29 years old, but at 39, taking a pay cut to start with WWE (or anyone offering less than what he’s already making) is probably something he’s not going to do."
