WWE Superstar Cesaro has backed Manchester City, and 'long lost brother' Pep Guardiola, to lift the Premier League title this season.
The 2020/21 Premier League is in the middle of one of its tightest races for the title ever, but three-time winners Manchester City have stolen a march on their rivals in recent weeks, taking a five-point lead at the top of the division.
SmackDown star Cesaro has now backed the Blues to lift their fourth Premier League title, stating the team's recent form will take them to glory this season.
He said: "Keep the momentum going, they've been on a tear and I'm not sure they can be stopped right now! Hopefully everybody stays healthy too.
"I miss the fans and I know as a performer & athlete the players do too. It’s great to see how close the race this season is, it’s very exciting.”
The Swiss Superman also declared his backing for City on social media, noting the likeness between himself and City manager Guardiola.
Cesaro is not the only WWE superstar to throw their backing behind a particular team, however. After WWE Champion Drew McIntyre declared the title race open on social media this morning, Gran Metalik showed his support for Tottenham Hotspur.
McIntyre, a well-known Glasgow Rangers fan, has not offered his backing for any of the sides in the English Premier League. But long-time Liverpool supporter Sheamus is backing the Reds, while Braun Strowman is cheering on Leicester City and former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston supports European outsiders West Ham United.
