WWE's Montez Ford Undergoes Surgery

The Street Profits star has been out of action since the beginning of June

Montez Ford has undergone surgery for an undisclosed condition.

The Street profits star was written off of WWE TV on the June 11 edition of SmackDown, bearing the brunt of an Otis beatdown. Now, according to The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer, the beat down was intended to write Ford off TV so he could undergo surgery.

Meltzer reported:

“It appears the injuries Ford suffered in the Otis beating on the 6/11 Smackdown were a cover story as he posted photos of him in a hospital appearing like he was getting ready for surgery on 6/24. He did get legitimate surgery, a voluntary surgery not related to an injury and not something that should keep him out of action for any significant length of time.”

Whilst the nature of Ford’s condition and surgery are unknown at this point, it is good to hear that he shouldn’t be out of action for too long.

Ford’s tag partner Angelo Dawkins, has subsequently not wrestled since the May 28 edition of SmackDown.
