WWE Scraps Ludvig Kaiser Name Change

He's back to being Ludwig Kaiser

Only days after his in-ring name was changed, WWE have scrapped 'Ludvig Kaiser' and begun billing the former Marcel Barthel as 'Ludwig Kaiser' once again.

Vince McMahon's company only made the change on May 25 but Kaiser's WWE.com profile was amended on Tuesday, May 31, confirming he was named Ludwig Kaiser once again.

The former NXT Tag Team Champion has only been Ludwig Kaiser for a short time, with WWE getting rid of his Marcel Barthel name after he was called up to Friday Night SmackDown with Gunther (FKA WALTER) after WrestleMania 38. Kaiser has since served as Gunther's mouthpiece on the blue brand but he made his main roster in-ring debut last week, with him and Der Ring General defeating Ricochet and Drew Gulak in tag team action.

It was previously revealed that Kaiser's new name is inspired by German promoter Gustle Kaiser, who was a part of professional wrestling from 1938 until 1976 and was very influential when Kaiser's father Axel Dieter was performing.
