WWE announced today that SummerSlam will take place on Saturday, August 21.

No venue has been announced for The Biggest Party Of The Summer as of yet, but all will be revealed during the 2021 Belmont Stakes' pre-race show on June 5. Tickets for SummerSlam will then go on sale on Friday, June 18.

Past reports have noted the show will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. Sports Business Journal reported yesterday, though, that WWE was considering six NFL stadiums, including Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, NRG Stadium in Houston, MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, Nissan Stadium in Nashville and the aforementioned Allegiant Stadium.

A big main event also looks to be on the cards for the August 21 pay-per-view and it has been strongly hinted that John Cena will go one on one with Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship. WWE and Cena are currently in talks about the 16-time world champion's return and he may well appear on the July 16 edition of Friday Night SmackDown.
