WWE's wrestlers will be wearing patches at WrestleMania 41, it has been revealed today.
Topps has announced that WrestleMania and debut patches will be worn by wrestlers moving forward as part of the partnership between WWE and the Fanatics-owned company. The patches will then be put into one-of-one trading cards.
The first patches will be worn at WrestleMania 41 and for every WrestleMania going forward. From April 21, every wrestler debuting on the main roster on Raw or SmackDown will have a main roster debut patch too.
The patches will primarily be worn on a wrestler's boot. After the talent's match, the patch will be removed and put into an autographed trading card. The first wave of WrestleMania and main roster debut patches will be released later this year.
Topps Senior Vice President of Product Clay Luraschi told The Athletic:
"We worked with WWE on where to place (the patches). Obviously wrestling's very physical, so the likelihood for the patch to be pulled off is high, so you want to put it in the safest place, but at the same time you want to have it in a place that's visible, so the fan can make the connection to what it is and what it means. So the boot, which is also something that's standard across almost all wrestlers, makes the most sense."
WWE and Topps began working together again in January 2025. The trading card company so far has revealed Topps WWE Chrome, which Topps claims sold out in five minutes. The Topps Now card featuring John Cena, The Rock, and Travis Scott from Elimination Chamber also had a print run of 55,211, which is the fifth-highest for any Topps Now Card.
Topps have already introduced debut patches in other sports, including Major League Baseball.
