WWE Title Match Announced For WrestleMania Backlash

Who will Bobby Lashley face?

One match is already official for WrestleMania Backlash, taking place five weeks from now, as WWE champion Bobby Lashley has a challenger for his gold.

By virtue of winning a triple threat match in the main event of the post-WrestleMania Monday Night Raw, Drew McIntyre will be getting a rematch against Lashley for the championship on May 16.

McIntyre outlasted Braun Strowman and Randy Orton in a triple threat match, pinning Orton with a Claymore, just after Orton dropped Strowman with an RKO.

After the match, MVP appeared on the stage and stared down McIntyre. Then when McIntyre turned around, he was seized by T-Bar and Mace (still wearing their Retribution attire), who then proceeded to hit McIntyre with a double chokeslam.

McIntyre challenged Lashley for the WWE title at WrestleMania on Saturday night. Lashley retained the championship after McIntyre passed out inside The Hurt Lock.

The current card for WWE WrestleMania Backlash, taking place Sunday night, May 16 from The Yuengling Center in Tampa, is as follows:

* WWE World: Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Drew McIntyre
