WWE Title Match Set For Elimination Chamber
It will take place inside the namesake Chamber
Feb 1, 2022
WWE champion Bobby Lashley will put his gold on the line at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view on Saturday, February 19 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and he will do so inside the titular Elimination Chamber.
Lashley's five challengers were established through the night. They are Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins, Austin Theory, Riddle, and AJ Styles.
Lesnar was simply named to the match, following an opening segment where he confronted Lashley. Lesnar, the men's Royal Rumble winner, has already selected Universal champion Roman Reigns as his WrestleMania 38 opponent, but declared his intentions to leave WrestleMania as a double champion, beating Lashley at the Chamber first.
Rollins received an automatic bid into the match as well, by virtue of his DQ win over Reigns at the Rumble.
The other three had to win qualifying matches on Monday's Raw. Theory defeated Kevin Owens in an 11-minute bout, while Riddle defeated Otis in seven minutes (following a controversial "scooter race" between Riddle and Chad Gable), and AJ Styles defeated Rey Mysterio in 12 minutes.
No other matches have been announced for Elimination Chamber as of yet.
