WWE To Hold Event In India Later This Year

WWE are heading to India in September

WWE has been travelling the world over the last year when it comes to big events, running shows from the likes of Saudi Arabia, Wales and Puerto Rico, with another upcoming PPV in Money in the Bank set to take place in England. Amidst talks of a big event also taking place in Australia at some point, it has been revealed that WWE will be returning to India for what is said to be a major event.

Last year, news emerged of WWE planning a large-scale show in India for January, but these plans were postponed. WWE CEO Nick Khan revealed at the MoffetNathanson’s Technology, Media and Telecom Conference that WWE’s planned trip to India will now take place in September.

The exact details of this have yet to be revealed regarding the date and whether or not it will simply be a big live event or a show that will air on PPV and the WWE Network & Peacock. India is a big market for WWE, with the specially filmed Superstar Spectacle last year accumulating upwards of 40 million views.
