WWE fans will be able to relive John Cena's retirement tour, should they wish to do so.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has reported that John Cena's retirement will be the subject of an upcoming documentary, with Peacock rumoured to be the landing spot of the project, as opposed to Netflix. The documentary is tentatively targeted for a mid-2026 release.
John Cena retired from WWE at the December 13 edition of Saturday Night's Main Event, controversially tapping out while in a chokehold from Gunther, with the decision drawing a plethora of boos aimed at Triple H.
Cena's retirement year as a whole was regarded as a mixed bag. There were highs in his match with AJ Styles and his SummerSlam bout with Cody Rhodes. Negatives, however, were the botched heel run, which included one of the worst WrestleMania events ever, and his Wrestlepalooza match with Brock Lesnar.
While Cena won't be wrestling again, he will remain linked to WWE, having put pen to paper on a five-year ambassador deal with the company. The 17-time world champion is planned for future appearances on WWE TV as part of his new role.
