WWE Worried About Heavy Rain Forecast For Crown Jewel

Rain might affect WWE Crown Jewel on November 4

In somewhat of a rarity, WWE Crown Jewel is forecast to be affected by heavy rain.

WWE will return to Saudi Arabia this coming weekend for Crown Jewel on Saturday, November 4. The latest WWE pay-per-view will be broadcast from the Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh.

WWE have previously held Super ShowDown 2020 and Crown Jewel 2021 at the same venue in Saudi Arabia's capital and the shows have taken place without a roof due to the set-up of Mohamed Abdo Arena.

Rain could be set to strike on Saturday night as Riyadh is predicted to be hit by thundery showers on November 4. As of Thursday, heavy rain with intermittent thunder is expected to last from 1 pm until 5 pm local time on Saturday. There remains the possibility of rain before Crown Jewel gets underway at 8 pm local time too, although the night will be warm with highs of 25 degrees celsius.

Of course, weather forecasts often change but WWE are worried about the possibility of heavy rain this weekend, according to Better Wrestling Experience

"The only thing everyone is worried about are the supposed heavy rains coming in this weekend," BWE tweeted.

The most famous recent example of a WWE event being affected by rain was WrestleMania 37 in Tampa, Florida. Night one of the show was delayed by 30 minutes due to inclement weather but fans were provided with the everlasting image of Samoa Joe in a poncho.
