WWE Yet To Lock In WrestleMania 42 Plans

WWE have no concrete plans in place for WrestleMania 42 yet

Confusion was raised over the weekend over the location of WWE WrestleMania 42, as Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro announced that WrestleMania 42 was headed back to Philadelphia, just two years after hosting WrestleMania 40. However, this appears to have been a mistake.

Fightful were approached by Spokesperson Manual Bonder to provide clarification on the location of WrestleMania 42, and to clear up any misconceptions that were created by Shapiro.

"This statement was mistaken, and we apologize for the confusion amid all the incredible events Pennsylvania is excited to host in 2026. While WrestleMania won’t be here in ‘26, we look forward to continuing to work with WWE and wrestling fans all across our Commonwealth to bring more great events to PA in the future.”

It was noted by Fightful that the post to social media (which has now been deleted) by Shapiro had come as a complete shock to those in WWE, with the promotion not yet ready to announce anything official when it comes to the location of WrestleMania in 2026. PWInsider followed this up by stating that a well-placed source said that a location for WrestleMania 42 has not yet been locked in. The belief in the company is that Shapiro said “WrestleMania” as a reference to WWE as a whole rather than actually meaning WrestleMania.
