X-Division Championship Match Set For IMPACT Homecoming

Josh Alexander defends against Black Taurus

Josh Alexander will defend his X-Division Championship against Black Taurus at this weekend's IMPACT Homecoming.

The bout was made official on Thursday night's IMPACT Wrestling show when Executive Vice-President Scott D'Amore and asked him if he was interested in defending his Title against Black Taurus at Saturday's event. Alexander, who had been clamouring for a new challenger for his Championship, was only too happy to accept.

Alexander has been X-Division Champion since winning the Title by defeating Ace Austin and TJP in a triple threat match at the Rebellion pay-per-view in April. The 34-year-old has regularly defended the Championship since then, including beating TJP in a 60-minute Ironman Match and retaining the gold in an Ultimate X Match at Slammiversary just two weeks ago.

Alexander versus Black Taurus has been set for an IMPACT Plus Special that will also include the Homecoming King And Queen Special. Eddie Edwards and W. Morrissey are also set to face each other in a Hardcore Match on the show.
