X-Pac Shuts Down Rumours Of WWE Royal Rumble Return

No WWE Royal Rumble return set for X-Pac… apparently

Just who will show up at the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble? What storied name from WWE’s past could show up in an attempt to win the 30-man spectacular? Well according to WWE Hall of Famer X-Pac, it won’t be him.

The legendary NWO and D-Generation X member has been tipped to appear in the Rumble, but taking to X/Twitter, the former WWE European Champion poured scorn on the idea:

“I can still go at the drop of hat, at least for a few minutes. I can do all my kicks, except the one in the corner & I can do that again with a few weeks training. I'm at least month away from taking my shirt off in public, so zero chance I'll be in the Rumble,” posted X-Pac, aka Sean Waltman.

Waltman last wrestled in March 2022, suffering a torn bicep in a singles loss to Joey Janela in GCW. Since his last bout, Waltman has claimed he would not return to in-ring action unless it was ‘something big’, and whilst he has said no to the Rumble, this could all be a ruse.

WWE Royal Rumble takes place on January 27 from Florida’s Tropicana Field.
