Young Bucks Change Finisher To 'Tony Khan Driver'

The Young Bucks have a new finisher name

The heel turn of The Young Bucks has seen several changes in their AEW presentation over the last couple of months. New music, a change in ring gear, and altering their names to Matthew & Nicholas Jackson are just a few of the big changes made to their characters, not to mention new gimmicks and leaning hard on their role as “EVPs”.

Another change has been made, and it concerns the name of their springboard piledriver finishing move. For many years, the move has been called the Meltzer Driver, in reference to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer. This has now seemingly changed.

The Young Bucks competed in a quick and decisive squash match on AEW Rampage last night, defeating the team of Jonny Lyons & Taz’s favourite wrestler Cappuccino Jones. In the closing moments they hit their finisher, but each shouted out loud “Tony Khan Driver”, revealing the new name of this move. This can be seen in a clip posted by X user @DrainBramager.

The Bucks are set to challenge Sting & Darby Allin for the AEW World Tag Team Championships in just over a week at the Revolution 2024 PPV on March 3. They are hoping to become the first three-time tag team champions in AEW history.
