Young Rock Show Cancelled By NBC

Young Rock axed after three seasons on NBC

The Rock’s early life has been detailed within the Young Rock television series for three seasons on NBC, but for now fans and viewers won’t be privy to any more of the former WWE Champion’s life breaking into the professional wrestling industry.

NBC have announced that they have cancelled the show (along with several other shows too), and it will not be returning for a fourth season. The show debuted two years ago and featured 37 episodes in which other wrestlers and Hall of Famers such as Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, The Undertaker, Iron Sheik and members of The Rock’s family were all portrayed. Recently, the show’s time slot was changed to the same time as WWE’s Friday Night SmackDown on FOX, which was an odd decision given the professional wrestling theme of both shows.

It isn’t clear if the show will continue in any other format or return again in the future, with neither The Rock or anyone else making a statement as of yet.
