Zelina Vega: I Have Unfinished Business In WWE

Vega has big ambitions

Zelina Vega has revealed she returned to WWE because she feels she has unfinished business in the company.

Vega returned to WWE on the July 2 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, eight months after she was fired for defying the company's third-party ban.

Vega hasn't won a match since she returned, but she did square off with SmackDown Women's Champion Bianca Belair recently and Zelina revealed to Digitial Spy that she wants to win the title.

"I think, more than anything, WWE has always been a place that I felt like I had some kind of unfinished business with and, for me as a kid, you look and you're like, 'I want to be a champion.' There's so many things that you want to accomplish and coming back, I set my eyes on the SmackDown Women's Championship and that's what I'm focused on the most and seeing where that takes me," Vega said.

"After Bianca versus Sasha, who knows, will it be Bianca that remains champion or will it be Sasha? Either one, I'm coming after them and I can't wait for that opportunity."

While she wouldn't resurface on WWE TV until July, Vega's return had been in the works for months and her husband Malakai Black recently noted one of the reasons she agreed to come back was because he was on the roster. That wasn't the case by the time she re-debuted, though, as Black was released on June 2.
