The coveted number 30 (or number 40 for that one Rumble in 2011) is something every wrestler in storyline wants as it will SURELY provide the easiest path to victory in the over-the-top-rope battle royal.
That has proven to be the case since the Royal Rumble debuted in 1988 as it is the winningest number in the match's history, with five wrestlers having won from the #30 spot.
Sometimes the final entrant in the Rumble seems to be a completely random choice and stinks of Vince McMahon chucking anyone he could find in the back out as the last participant in the match.
