Adam Cole Wants To Face NJPW's Kazuchika Okada

Cole vs. Okada

With a working relationship between New Japan Pro-Wrestling and AEW having been formed earlier this year, one All Elite Wrestling talent in Adam Cole has his eyes on a match with a top NJPW star.

Speaking at the New York Comic-Con, Cole revealed he would like to face five-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada.

"I've never had the chance to have a singles match with this person; I would love the idea of Adam Cole vs. [Kazuchika] Okada," Cole said.

Fellow AEW talent Orange Cassidy also revealed he wants a match with Zack Sabre Jr. saying, "You know where I am, Zack."

Cole competed in New Japan Pro-Wrestling for several years during his time in Ring Of Honor and Bullet Club. He even defeated Kyle O'Reilly for the ROH World Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 11 inside the Tokyo Dome and he faced Hiroshi Tanahashi later that year before signing with WWE.

After four years in WWE, Cole signed with AEW earlier this year and he has since admitted it would be "really cool" to go back to NJPW if the opportunity presented itself.
