All the action as AEW emanated from Pittsburgh

AEW returned to Pittsburgh, where hometown hero Britt Baker was given a rapturous welcome. The AEW Women’s World Champion was on top form, vowing to defeat Red Velvet in the main event of the first episode of Rampage this coming Friday. Velvet didn’t want to wait, rushing Baker in the ring before the two were separated by officials.

Baker won’t be the only champion defending the gold on Rampage, as Christian Cage will face Kenny Omega… for the IMPACT World Championship. Cage and Omega are scheduled to face off for the AEW World Championship at All Out, but will have a high stakes tune-up this Friday.

Elsewhere, Chris Jericho faced his fourth labour, as he went one-on-one with MJF’s personal pitbull Wardlow. Wardlow dominated Jericho throughout, but Le Champion pulled out the win after using Floyd the bat and a pitch perfect Judas Effect as MJF and the ref were distracted. MJF then set the terms out for the final labour next week; Jericho can’t use the Judas Effect, nor will he have ‘Judas’ playing him to the ring, in an attempt to swing the momentum in MJF’s favour.

Also, The Good Brothers defended the IMPACT Tag Titles against The Dark Order, PAC vs. Andrade was made official for All Out, Miro will put the TNT Title on the line against Fuego Del Sol on Rampage, and Paul Wight laid out The Factory’s Aaron Solow with a Chokeslam.

  • Matt Hardy & Private Party def. Orange Cassidy, Chuck Taylor, & Wheeler YUTA
  • Kris Statlander def. Nyla Rose
